My name is Brook Elliott. If you’ve been an enthusiast of outdoor sports for any length of time you’ve probably seen my name in print. For nearly 30 years I’ve covered outdoor recreation, serving hunters and fisherman, and non-consumptive outdoor users as well. I’ve written about these subjects for more than a hundred magazines and newspapers, and have served as a staff writer and editor on several of them. And I’ve written a couple of books for outdoor enthusiasts as well.

For the last ten years friends, colleagues, and readers have asked me to recommend the best websites available. As a professional writing about these subjects you’d think I could answer that question in a heartbeat. But, sadly, I can’t.

I spend a lot of time on the web, researching information that, along with my personal experiences, I can share with folks like you. But, alas, I have yet to find any sites that provide the fact-filled info you’re looking for. Most of them are merely thinly disguised advertisements from people trying to sell you something.

Here at Outdoor Sports Advisor, we're a bit different. Our goal, is to provide ways for you to better enjoy the great outdoors. We’ll help you learn techniques, show you how to hone the skills you have, and introduce you to new outdoor pursuits. We’ll take you to some of the best places to enjoy your outdoor adventures, and point out how to get the most from the limited time you have to spend outdoors.
